Sean Jucha

Sean Jucha came into the world on June 20th thirteen years ago. The name Sean, meaning, “Gift from God” was given to him by his loving parents Heather and Robert Jucha. Sean is the first child born to Heather and Bob and was joined six years later by his little brother Ryan. He was a healthy and robust boy until the summer he turned ten. It was then that Sean’s battle with Gliomatosis Cerebri began.

To honor Sean’s life his family has set up a fundraising campaign that assists families in their battle against this deadly disease. The campaign is dedicated to helping fund the Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund whose sole mission is to conquer childhood cancer. Funds collected are specifically directed to some of the country’s top medical researchers who are currently working to find a cure for the tumor that claimed Sean’s life.

As of the writing, Sean Jucha’s fundraising campaign has reached over $125595.60 and his family is truly thankful for the generosity and support of many people in honor of their son Sean.

ENROLL IN THE REGISTRY

The Gliomatosis Cerebri Registry is a key part of the Children's Brain Tumor Project at Weill Cornell Medicine Pediatric Neurosurgery. The registry will establish a central database of gliomatosis cerebri cases worldwidem.
